A complaint has been filed against Vijay Deverakonda over his recent comments, which are said to have offended the sentiments of the Adivasi community.

Vijay Deverakonda has been making headlines lately, largely due to the ongoing excitement surrounding his upcoming film Kingdom. However, amid the buzz, he has now become embroiled in a legal controversy following remarks made at a recent event that have sparked backlash.
According to a report by Telugu Chitraalu, lawyer Kishan Lal Chauhan has filed a complaint at the SR Nagar police station in Hyderabad against the Dear Comrade actor. The controversy stems from Deverakonda's comments during the pre-release event of Retro, which reportedly offended members of the Adivasi community.
During the event, the actor commented on the country’s present socio-political climate, drawing a parallel with Adivasi conflicts from 500 years ago. He remarked that those involved had to apologize for their actions, a statement that did not sit well with many from the community.
Members of the Adivasi community have claimed the remarks were derogatory and have demanded a public apology from the actor. Police have initiated an investigation into the matter. As of now, Vijay Deverakonda has not issued any statement addressing the controversy.
Meanwhile, anticipation continues to build for Kingdom, his next big film directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, which is set to hit theaters on May 30. The project had stirred speculation for a while, especially regarding who would play the female lead.
That mystery was recently resolved with the release of the first song, Hridayam Lopala, confirming Bhagyashree Borshe as Deverakonda’s co-star in the action-packed drama.
In addition to his professional life, Vijay's personal life also continues to attract attention. Rumors about his relationship with former co-star Rashmika Mandanna persist online. While neither actor has confirmed or denied the speculation, fans continue to connect the dots through shared photos and apparent coincidences.
